Markdown lets you write formatted text with simple symbols — **bold**, # Heading, - list item — that are easy to type and read. Browsers, email templates and many CMS fields need HTML instead. This converter turns Markdown into clean, semantic HTML and shows a live preview so you can see exactly what the reader will see.

With GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM) on, you also get the extensions people use in READMEs, issues and documentation:
| columns and alignment using :---, :---: and ---:.- [ ] and - [x] become checkboxes.~~text~~.class="language-js" so syntax highlighters like Prism or highlight.js can colour them.In standard Markdown, a single line break inside a paragraph is ignored — lines are joined into one paragraph. To force a break you end the line with two spaces, or leave a blank line for a new paragraph. If your text comes from a chat app or a plain-text note where every line break matters, tick Single line break → <br>, which matches how GitHub comments behave.
Markdown can contain raw HTML, which is passed through to the output. The preview is rendered in a sandboxed frame with scripts disabled, so pasting untrusted Markdown here cannot run code. If you publish HTML generated from other people's Markdown on your own site, run it through an HTML sanitizer such as DOMPurify first.
