Convert text to hexadecimal bytes, or paste hex to decode it back into readable text.
Hexadecimal (base 16) writes each byte as exactly two digits from 0–9 and a–f, so a byte value from 0 to 255 becomes 00 to ff. It is the standard way developers look at raw data: shorter than binary, and easy to map back to bytes. This converter encodes your text as UTF-8 first, then shows every byte in hex.

Note that hex bytes are different from Unicode code points. The euro sign is code point U+20AC, but in UTF-8 it is stored as the three bytes e2 82 ac. If you need code points, the hidden character finder shows them for invisible characters.

Choose Hex → Text and paste the hex in any of the formats above — the decoder removes 0x, \x and % prefixes, spaces, commas and line breaks before reading the bytes. You can even paste a mix. If the digits do not form complete bytes or valid UTF-8, the tool says so instead of printing random symbols.
